CISM training for Dubai professionals prepares you for ISACA’s Certified Information Security Manager exam, the credential built for people who run security programmes rather than configure the tools inside them. That distinction carries weight in Dubai because regulators have started writing accountability into their rules. DIFC firms need boards and senior managers who understand their cyber risk. The Central Bank expects bank boards to own operational resilience. Dubai Government entities work to a DESC regulation that defines who heads information security.
Someone has to stand in front of those boards and explain the risk in business terms: what it could cost, what has been accepted, and what is being done about the rest. CISM is written for that person. CISM tests judgement from a manager’s point of view: most questions have more than one reasonable answer, and you are asked for the best one.
You have 12 months from payment to sit the exam. A USD 50 application fee applies when you apply for certification after passing.
Unlike CISSP, CISM can be taken at home under remote proctoring, so there’s no centre visit to plan.

The ISACA exam fee is separate: USD 575 for members and USD 760 for non-members, paid directly to ISACA. When comparing Dubai courses, look past the hours to what’s included: practice volume, access to recordings, and whether anyone helps with your endorsement after the exam.
ISACA requires five years of information security experience, including three years in security management. Some credentials and degrees can waive up to two years of the general requirement, and CISSP or CISA each waive two, but no waiver replaces the three management years. ISACA lets you sit the exam first and apply for certification once your experience is in place. We check your position on the 1:1 call.
Yes. ISACA offers CISM by remote proctoring as well as at PSI test centres, so you can sit it from home or a quiet office with a webcam, microphone and stable connection. The exam is 150 questions in four hours, scored on a 200–800 scale with 450 to pass. You have 12 months from payment to take it.
Each batch meets once a week for a four-hour live session at the weekend, outside the UAE office day. Sessions are recorded, and you keep access to recordings and materials for 180 days. Batch times are published in IST on our training calendar; UAE time is 1 hour 30 minutes behind, so an 8:30 AM IST session starts at 7:00 AM in Dubai.
It depends on your exam date. ISACA updated the CISM exam content outline with effect from 3 November 2026, keeping the four domains while adding enterprise architecture and information security architecture and placing more emphasis on strategy and programme development. Cybernous updates its material when ISACA revises the outline, and we confirm which outline applies to your date on the 1:1 call.
Mid-level CISM-track roles in the UAE typically pay AED 300,000–540,000 a year, and senior roles AED 540,000 or more, all tax-free. By role, GRC and compliance managers typically earn AED 25,000–35,000 a month and information security managers AED 25,000–45,000.
