The AI built in India is governed under several regimes at once — the DPDP Act at home, and GDPR and the EU AI Act for the European users and clients that Indian-built systems serve every day. The professional who can hold all three in one head — who knows what the DPDP Act requires of a data fiduciary and what the EU AI Act requires of a deployer — is exactly what a GCC or an IT services major cannot easily hire. Cross-border governance expertise commands a premium in this market because cross-border is the default condition of Indian AI work, not the exception.

This is the section no competitor page has written, and the one Indian candidates most need. Read it before you register, not after.
The rule.
There is no live remote proctoring for AAISM in India. Candidates in India — as in Mainland China and Hong Kong — must sit the exam at a physical PSI test centre. Everywhere else in the world, including Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, centre-or-desk is a preference; here it is the rule.
Why that changes your planning.
Three clocks run at once from the moment you register: the six-month eligibility window that starts the day you register, the booking horizon that opens up to 90 days ahead, and your own preparation — roughly 50 days on a structured plan. In remote-proctoring markets these clocks barely interact; you can book a desk slot late and still sit on time. In India, they collide at one point: the centre appointment. Seats exist at specific centres, in specific cities, on specific dates, and availability varies. Treat the booking like a train ticket in festival season: the ticket, not the journey, is the scarce resource — and you do not start packing before the ticket is confirmed.
