Cybernous vs DestCert:
AAISM Training Compared
The two coached models in the AAISM market. 50 days of coaching against three intensive ones, 5 full-length mocks against one. Is Domain 3 review for you, or new ground?
In 20 minutes we’ll tell you which model fits your Domain 3 starting point — including if it isn’t ours.
Let's make this simple before any table complicates it.
These are the two coached models in the AAISM market, and that makes this the closest comparison on our site. DestCert compresses expert instruction into three intensive days, then hands you a large self-study system and a year to use it. Cybernous stretches the coaching itself across 50 days, with 1:1 mentorship and an AI literacy foundation before the syllabus begins.
Same destination, opposite shapes: their coaching is short and their access is long; our coaching is long and our access is shorter. Which shape fits you depends on one question — is Domain 3 review for you, or new ground? Please understand that clearly, and the rest of this page mostly confirms what you already know.

The DestCert model
Destination Certification runs a three-day live online AAISM bootcamp — Monday through Wednesday over Zoom — taught by Joseph Zefrani (CISSP, AAISM), with a curriculum designed with input from founders Rob Witcher and John Berti, who have worked with ISC2 on exam material development for CISSP and CCSP.
The bootcamp anchors a substantial learning system with one year of access: 700 course slides with instructor notes, 12 knowledge assessments totalling 848 questions, 500+ practice questions, 599 flashcards, 17 MindMap review videos, and a 90-question practice test. Enrolment includes four workplace implementation tools — a data privacy checklist, a vendor risk evaluation guide, an AI threats reference, and “Fast Fail” rules — plus a private Discord community with mentor Q&A.
If a student doesn't pass, DestCert offers a 1:1 debrief call and a free bootcamp retake, and states plainly that it cannot guarantee a pass. A self-paced AAISM MasterClass is also available. (Source: destcert.com, accessed August 2026.)
The Cybernous model
Cybernous runs a 50-day coached AAISM programme built for working CISM and CISSP holders — roughly 1.5 hours a day, sequenced day by day and weighted to the exam's 31/31/38 domain split. It opens with a Day 0 AI literacy primer before Domain 1 begins, on the premise that the AI-specific material should be built as a foundation, not compressed as a review.
Coaching runs through the full duration, with 1:1 mentorship from the named coach, Manoj Sharma — CISSP (ISC² #557313), CISM, CRISC, 29 years in the field, and a practising CISO.
Preparation includes domain question sets, 5 full-length mock exams at the real 90-question, 150-minute format, and 8 practical artifacts — a model card, an AI inventory schema, a TEVV gate checklist and more — built by the candidate during the programme rather than handed over as templates. Programme access runs 180 days. No exam voucher, official ISACA materials, or retake guarantee is included.
Neither provider on this page can show you AAISM results. AAISM launched in August 2025, and no training provider anywhere publishes an AAISM-specific pass rate with a stated methodology — DestCert doesn't, and neither do we. Credit where due: DestCert publishes exactly how it calculates the pass rates it does claim, and scopes them to the programmes it actually measures. That's the standard every provider should meet, and it's the standard our own CISSP figure below is held to. For what to ask any provider quoting a number, see The Row Nobody Wins on the comparison hub.

Where DestCert is the better choice
If Domain 3 is largely review for you — you work with AI systems, the model life cycle and TEVV are working vocabulary, not new terms — then three days of expert-led compression followed by a year of self-study access is an efficient, well-built path, and DestCert is very likely your better choice.
Their access period is honestly superior: one year against our 180 days, and for a busy professional who wants to book the exam on their own timeline, that flexibility is real value, not a footnote. Their material volume is larger than ours on paper — over 1,300 questions across assessments and practice sets, flashcards, and MindMap videos — and their Discord community gives you peers and mentors on tap long after the class ends. Their retake arrangement is also something we don't offer: fail, and you get a debrief call and a free seat in the next bootcamp.
And their price is public. $1,797, listed on the page, with a payment plan. If you value knowing the number before a conversation, they give you that and we don't.
If that profile is you, their bootcamp page is here. Genuinely — go look.
Where Cybernous is the better choice
If Domain 3 is new ground for you — and for most CISM and CISSP holders, honestly, it is — then the shape of the programme matters more than the size of the library. Three days of instruction cannot build a foundation; it can only review one. 50 days of sequenced study can, and that's the entire design premise here: an AI literacy primer before the syllabus starts, study time weighted to the exam's actual 31/31/38 split, and a daily rhythm of about 1.5 hours that survives a full-time job instead of competing with it.
The mentorship model is also structurally different. Their post-class support is a community — mentors and peers on Discord, which is genuinely useful. Ours is 1:1 with the named coach for the programme's full duration: when you're stuck, you ask Manoj, and Manoj answers. And where they hand you four ready-made tools, our 8 artifacts are built by you, on your own organisation — a model card, an inventory schema, a TEVV checklist you can put in front of your auditor the week after you finish.
5 full-length mocks against their one is the last structural gap, and before this exam, mock volume matters.
What each actually costs
DestCert
$1,797 one-time for the bootcamp, or six monthly payments of $347, as listed on destcert.com in August 2026. Prices may change — confirm on their site.
Cybernous
Pricing is discussed on a consultation call rather than listed, because what you need depends on your background, your timeline, and whether you need the AI literacy layer. Book a call and you'll have a number in twenty minutes, with no obligation.
Both: ISACA's exam fee — US$459 for members, US$599 for non-members — the US$50 application fee, and the official Review Manual and QAE are paid directly to ISACA, separately from either provider's training fee. Your real comparison is total journey cost.
The method behind the programme
We have no AAISM outcomes to show you — nobody does. What we can show you is the method, with its own credential named honestly: the same 1:1 coached structure behind this programme has produced a 98.4% first-attempt pass rate across 793+ CISSP-certified professionals — a CISSP figure, stated as one.
The coach is Manoj Sharma — CISSP (ISC² #557313), CISM, CRISC, 29 years in cybersecurity, practising CISO, with 400+ ISC² endorsements provided.
